DÉLICE
Roast Profile: Medium
Our DÉLICE coffee blend is meticulously curated to excel as both espresso and filter, boasting smooth and delightful flavors in every cup. Crafted from Brazilian and Ugandan coffees, each element is roasted to accentuate its unique taste profile.
Brazil - Mantiqueira Mountains
Variety | Yellow Bourbon

Process | Pulped Natural
Altitude | 1100-1300 MASL
Producer: Cocarive Co-operative
This remarkable regional coffee originates from smallholder farmers, proud members of the Cocarive Co-operative in Carmo de Minas. The coffees chosen for this regional blend undergo rigorous selection based on variety and quality, meticulously processed by Cocarive. The trend in Brazil is shifting towards prioritizing overall cup quality over mere volume. Smallholder farmers, by focusing on detailed growth, harvesting, and processing methods, consistently produce outstanding coffees.
Uganda - Katanda community
This exceptional coffee hails from the Katanda farmer's community in the Kasese district, nestled in the southernmost region of the Rwenzori mountain range and processed by Agri Evolve.
The Katanda community, near Nyabirongo's main coffee station in the southern part of Kasese District, shares a strong bond with Agri Evolve, evident in their support for establishing a clean water supply in 2020. Comprising 1000 smallholder farmers cultivating coffee on 1 to 4-acre plots across the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains, the Katanda farmers thrive at altitudes ranging from 1300 to 1600 masl.
Cherries are harvested from three central buying centers and delivered to the Nyabirongo washing station during the main and fly harvests. At the washing station, cherries undergo pulping and fermentation in large tanks for approximately 24 hours. The resulting "parchment" is washed and then dried on raised beds or mechanically, depending on various factors. Post-drying, the parchment coffee is stored until ready for export, where it undergoes hulling, grading, and bagging.
Variety | SL14 & SL28
